The Smurfs Theme Park, Shanghai

Smurfs Theme Park is the world’s first fully themed indoor Smurfs destination, developed as an immersive family entertainment experience near Shanghai. Created in collaboration with Shimao Property Holdings and IMPS, KCC Entertainment Design was responsible for the concept development, themed entertainment design, attraction integration, and immersive guest experience strategy of the park.

Designed at Smurf-scale to fully immerse visitors into the iconic blue world, the indoor theme park features three highly themed zones: the Fantasy Forest, the Smurfs Village, and Gargamel’s House. Across more than 8,000 sqm, guests can explore immersive themed environments, interactive experiences, family attractions, dark rides, and character-driven entertainment inspired by the Smurfs universe.

The destination integrates 29 Smurf-themed attractions, including the Smurfs Berry Factory roller coaster, Gargamel’s interactive ghost house, and the Swamp Adventure 3D dark ride. The park also incorporates the United Nations and UNICEF Sustainable Development Goals throughout the visitor journey, combining immersive entertainment with educational and environmental awareness experiences for families and children.
