THE PALM, AL AHSA

Adventure resort with integrated attractions & experiences

The Palm, Al Ahsa in Saudi Arabia, developed for DAN (a subsidiary of PIF), is a next-generation mixed-use adventure resort destination designed to anchor experiential tourism within the region. As part of its scope, KCC Entertainment Design delivered a comprehensive feasibility study and concept design for the adventure park and resort-wide activations, defining how attractions and experiences are integrated across the broader development. The project is strategically conceived to function as a high-impact leisure anchor, driving visitation, extending length of stay, and enhancing the overall commercial performance of the destination.

KCC’s approach focused on distributing a curated mix of immersive attractions, outdoor adventure experiences, and activation zones throughout the resort perimeter, creating a continuous and engaging guest journey. Rather than concentrating entertainment in a single zone, the concept embeds experiences across the masterplan—connecting hospitality, landscape, and activity areas into a cohesive destination. Each intervention is positioned to enhance circulation, activate key nodes, and support repeat visitation, while increasing cross-spend across accommodation, F&B, and leisure components.

Through a data-driven feasibility framework and experience-led master planning, KCC Entertainment Design ensured that The Palm delivers both operational efficiency and long-term revenue optimization. The integration of attractions within a mixed-use resort environment is carefully calibrated to balance guest flow, capacity, and commercial return. The result is a scalable, future-ready destination that strengthens its position within Saudi Arabia’s tourism strategy while delivering sustained value for operators, investors, and the wider development ecosystem.
